I did not enjoy cross country.
I prefer running short distances.

I was sort of pleased with myself.
I sort of found it easier to run with someone.
I don't run in my spare time.
I sort of plan to run more.
I came 2nd to last but I finished.
I did get the impression that cross country training wasn't your favourite thing... I think when there is something at school that perhaps isn't your cup of tea, it is often a good idea to find ways to make it a bit more enjoyable - perhaps running with friends and challenging yourselves to keep going until the third powerpole, etc., rather than just walking and talking...
